Today was John's first day of soccer practice.

John has a really great time and wore his uniform the rest of the day.
Between preschool and soccer, it has been a busy week so we are looking forward to loafing around tomorrow.

Preschool!

John officially started preschool today. He is attending Here Wee Grow Preschool in Enfield and will be going Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. He was super excited. He woke up and asked us if it was "preschool day". I would like to note that he picked out his own outfit. I wanted him to wear a cute polo with matching shorts but he was not having it.

Walking to school. The school is actually down the street so I told John we could walk on the first day. He was so excited that we left early and ended up walking very slowly.

Despite the slow walking we were still super early so we explored his new classroom. He was a little shy at first but dove right in and barely turned around when I left.

Tonight at dinner we asked John about preschool and he said that he sang songs, played with Legos and met new friends (but he can't remember their names) :)

All in all it was a great first day of school.
It still seems like only yesterday that we brought him home for the hospital!!

Four Years Old!

It's been a crazy four years but they have absolutely flown by. Little John had his check up on Monday and he was 44 pounds (90th percentile) and 43 inches tall (95th percentile) - he grew 3 inches this year! He starts preschool next week and could not be more excited. Below are pictures from his first year which is a blur to me at this point!
