First Broken Bone
It was bound to happen but once again, I was not expecting this until 3 years old at the earliest. Little John broke his arm on Friday while playing at the playground. He was with Tina so John and I got calls on our cells and rushed to the hospital. We began the day at Johnson Memorial Hospital but after the x-ray we were transferred to Connecticut Children's Medical Center. They determined that John needed to be put under in order for them to set the break so he went into surgery at 6:15pm. One hour later, he was out and we were in our room by 10pm. The doctors said this is a fairly common break and that 4 other kids were lined up the same night for surgery to have the same breaks fixed. Little John is starting to feel better. He was pretty drugged up but seems to have come around. He definitely has his dramatic moments and mood swings. If he hurts his cast he goes "Ow. Boo boo." It's quite pathetic. He's on the mend and will have a follow up appointment either later this week or early next week. We will keep everyone posted. Below are a few pictures of him around the house this morning.
